— helps companies use data to drive business.
PRINCIPALS
David R. Krumholz, President
David R. Krumholz has been President of Strand
Management Solutions, Inc. since its formation in 1979.
He manages general operation of the company and
day-to-day operation of his division to ensure that
client satisfaction is the principal company objective.
His special skill is quickly investigating business
processes and discerning the structures and methods
needed to translate the process into a working computer
application.
His division specializes in needs evaluation, system
selection recommendation, database design, application
implementation and training, and web development. Recent
projects provide solutions for Capital Project Economic
Evaluation, Workflow Management, Client Tracking,
Employee Evaluation, Membership Tracking, and Real-Time
System Status Monitoring.
The development environments include
.NET, Visual Basic,
FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, Power Builder and Oracle
Power Objects. Web development uses industry-standard
Microsoft technologies, including Internet Information
Server, Microsoft Transaction Server, and the SQL-Server
database backend.
David’s degree is from Pace University in
Accounting and Management Information Science. He
started his career as an accountant and progressed to
become controller of the nation’s largest naval
architecture and marine engineering firm. He started
Strand Management Solutions, Inc. after managing a New
Jersey based computer services and timesharing firm.
Arnold S. Rosner, Vice President
In more than 30 years working with computers, Arnold
Rosner has designed and implemented operating systems,
drivers, and applications for mainframes, minicomputers,
and microcomputers; managed teams of analysts and
programmers; and taught courses in programming languages
and associated subjects such as operating system usage,
database planning and usage, and debugging techniques.
Arnold has been Vice President of Strand Management
Solutions, Inc. since its formation in 1979. He
co-founded the company with David out of a shared belief
that businesses of all types and sizes need an
experienced resource to help them get the most out of
computer technology. Arnold considers his most valuable
skill to be an ability to define the needs of clients,
and to translate these needs into program requirements.
“Strand systems,” Arnold says, “are custom-built
and intuitive. Required training is practically zero.”
One area of expertise is
environmental compliance software; his State-approved
product that automates the calculations and data
transfer mandated by Federal clean water regulations is
used by utility, industrial, and pharmaceutical
companies throughout New Jersey. Most of Arnold’s recent systems have been developed
using .NET, Microsoft Access, Visual FoxPro, and FoxPro. With
extensive hands-on and management experience with these
environments, Arnold is in an excellent position to
evaluate their strengths and weaknesses for future
customers’ needs.
Arnold grew up in New York City and currently lives
in New Jersey. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics from
Hunter College of the City University of New York. He is
a licensed pilot and an amateur magician.
